ok so i dont have too much time to update before class but i'll try real fast....highlights of the past week:

1) SEEING GUYS AND DOLLS LAST NIGHT.  it was incredible.  front row.  i was like 5 feet from Ewan McGregor.  Seriously the show was fabuloussssss and last night was a lot of fun yay :)

2) this weekend Meghan Ferrick visited and I didnt really know her at all before but we ended up hanging out cause she was staying with Natty and Kate and we sightseed a lot and went out at night and it was a tonnn of fun and shes really super awesome and it was great :)

3) saturday night kate convinced us all to go out even though we were being super lazy and we went to this place Bar Rumba and it was probably the funnest night ive had here so fast...we danced for a longggg time and lots of guys sketched on us and the music was AMAZING (throwback to the 90s rap, for alot of the time)....and it was great...and on the way home we talked to two lesbians for like 30 minutes who were super nice and stuff and then we ran into these two black british dudes who were also very nice but kind of sketchy and made some pretty sketchy comments that i really shouldnt write on here...good times/

4) i went to the Diwali celebration (diwali is the biggest hindu holiday of the year) and there must have been liek 10,000 indians in trafalgar square....it was really awesome and there was dancing and music and all kinds of stuff.  and then we went and had dinner at The Woodlands which is a South Indian chain restaurant from india and it was sooooooooooooooo YUM.

5) hmmm other than that, the biggest highlights of my week have been the 'stros games :)  though they lost last night which was sad, but whatever, world series HERE WE COME.

sooo...the weekend is over...its monday morning and i was supposed to meet jess at the library but im clearly still sitting here doing nothing and now i'm debating if i want to go at all! haha wow i SUCK.  anyways...recap of the weekend:

Friday we had a tour of christopher wren churches which was pretty cool but we didnt actually go inside and tour st. pauls which i definitely want to do at some point.  the next time i have a warm free day i plan to climb to the top of the dome.  friday night we went out to this restaurant called chowki...it was this fancy indian place and the atmosphere and stuff was reallly nice and the food was ok, but i wasnt THAT impressed with the food. i  reallllly need to eat out more and find myself a really good indian place.  then we went to the sports cafe to watch the bosox sadly lose to the white sox :( needless to say, noone was too thrilled after that.  then kelly and i went to this bar called Zoo with some friends of hers from back when she went to high school in london....we didnt stay too long but i chatted with one friend eric, who goes to bowdoin and knows halp's bf alden! oh and at sports cafe we met this dude named andy from tufts who is on the same program as halp's bff from home molly! so yeah...its a small world out here :)

then saturday we booked our tickets to edinburgh...nov 16-19 (wed-sat)...i also discovered that the harry potter premier in leicester square is on nov 6 WHEN I WILL BE IN SPAIN.  im sooo sad about that.  saturday night the girls decided to take it easy and have a chill movie/wine night.  we started off with two bottles of wine and playing some asshole and spoons...that turned into two more bottles of wine which we downed extremely quickly...and then ahmed told us the govy kids were coming over so we went back to the store and got another bottle of white wine and a box of red wine.  yes.  i bought boxed wine in london, ugh.  then our random tufts friends came over and i hung out with molly and i vaguely remember talking to halp on the phone?!  yeah...that was a rough night.  i wont be drinking wine for awhile....enough said.

so now for the biggest dissapointment/excitement of the weekend:
LAST NIGHT'S 18 INNING ASTROS GAME!!!!!!  heres how my night progressed:  i check the score in the 2nd inning and its 0-0.  then in the 5th its 0-5 braves.  then i started watching dirty dancing and get a frantic phone call from my brother saying that ausmus just hit the GAME TYING homer in the bottom of the ninth!??! then i call my bro back and its top of the 12th.  then i wait and wait and wait for his phone call to tell me the game's over.  ahmed comes upstairs and tells me that its the 18TH INNING.  SHIT.  and then my bro calls to say the game is over with chris burke's solo walk-off homer.  UGHHHHH!!! im sooo happy they won in such dramatic fashion but i cant BELIEVE that i didnt see any of it! im considering buying the tape. hahaha.  anyways, that being said:

GO ASTROS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UGH.   we just had a two hour class with our dartmouth prof...now we have time for lunch and then at 2 p.m. we have a lecture from some woman about the Christopher Wren churches and stuff....AND i forgot to do the reading for the lecture. hahaha i SUCK.

in other news...sophie spencer was here yesterday! she got in yesterday evening and all the girls had a fantastic dinner cooked by kel and jess and then we all hung out and went to the corner store for munchies and watched scrubs and just hung out....good times.  p.s. scrubs is the greatest show ever.

oh and the astros won.  that is all.  :)
